A leading independent prep school in Hampshire are seeking a Head of Design & Technology from September 2025. This is a permanent position and can be part time or full time.

The Head is seeking an excellent classroom practitioner to teach DT across the prep school from Year 3 to Year 8. The successful candidate will have experience of teaching DT to either primary or secondary school pupils. You will be dynamic and enthusiastic with a passion for the subject, keen to be part of a talented department within a forward-looking school. This would be an excellent career move and a springboard for career enhancement. Applicants should have high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour, excellent organisational and time-management skills, and enjoy working as part of a wider team. You will be responsible for the department (it is a department of one) including budget and curriculum design.

The role can be part time (3 days a week) or full time. If full time another subject is required or the desire to take on extra pastoral duties such as boarding duties. There might be accommodation in return for this.
