Are you an experienced IT Audit Specialist looking for your next challenge? If so, this could be the ideal opportunity for you. My client is a specialist financial services business with an excellent reputation, and they are currently investing within their Internal Audit team and are looking for an experienced IT Audit Specialist to join the team.

As part of the Internal Audit team, you will perform IT audits and assurance tasks across the Group entities and their subsidiaries. Internal Audit acts as an assurance provider and consultant to Senior/Line management to support efficient work processes. Group Internal Audit reports its activities to Corporate Audit and the Global Audit Group and monitors the activities of Local Internal Audit Departments to ensure adequate standards exist in these functions.

Key responsibilities

• Carrying out IT audits, SOX ITGC Testing and ISO27001 assessments for Group and Europe companies.
• Main focus is compliance with corporate IT policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements (eg Sarbanes Oxley).
• Assessment of the effectiveness of IT controls based on a generally accepted international standard for IT governance (COBIT-Framework) to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act.
• Documentation and report writing to conclude all testing and prepare draft reports, where applicable.
• Regular follow-up on the status of open audit findings to track progress to completion.
• Providing up-to-date information on quarterly reporting (with regard to the progress of the IT audit plan, summary of key findings and implementation status of agreements made) to regional management and Group Audit.
• Any ad-hoc audit tasks, as required by line management.

Skills and Experience required

• Proven experience within a similar IT Audit position.
• Professional audit qualifications (CIA/CISA/CISM) or comparable.
• Several years of professional experience in the internal audit or an auditing firm or similar.
• Several years of experience in dealing with IT systems in an internationally active company.
• Good knowledge of regulatory and other legal requirements.
• Good knowledge of IT security standards (NIST, ISO27001), standards for IT corporate governance (COBIT framework) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
• IT Audit methodology and implementation background.
• IT awareness and technical understanding.
• Excellent written and oral communication (including presenting).
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
