In response to end user demand, they have innovated their platforms which are going from strength to strength. The end users of their system span a variety of interesting sectors and this role represents a great opportunity for someone to join an established team achieving real time growth.

About the Role

This role is for a developer to work in a small team, primarily developing web applications which are used by their customer base. The team develops both the web UI and the backend API. The web UI is mainly developed in React while the back-end is hosted in AWS and developed in Node.JS and Python. My client needs a developer to join the team to help them develop new applications, and also improve their current software.

Role responsibilities

• Rapid development of software, quickly turning around regular releases to make incremental improvements.
• Take full ownership to design, develop, test, release and maintain robust customer facing web applications.
• Design web UIs based on company UI style, with input from team members
• Development of backend APIs to be used by web applications and smartphone Apps
• Work with Marketing team to agree application specifications and sign off before release.
• Juggle multiple projects at once and able to prioritise tasks within this

Key Skills Required

Essential

• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Software development experience with Javascript, React, HTML, CSS
• Node Js
• Experience of developing software products or components
• Able to work in a small, fast moving company

Desirable

• Degree in a relevant technical subject: e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Maths
• Experience with Python, SQL, TypeScript, C++
• Experience with AWS, MySQL
• Experience working with containers such as Docker/Kubernetes/ECS
