iO Associates has partnered with a leading infrastructure and engineering company in the search for a Front Line Supervisor to join the team based in Cumbria. This is an exciting opportunity where you will have the chance to work on a high-profile project, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth running of on-site operations managing subcontractors, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and overseeing day-to-day operations on-site. Front Line Supervisor
Cumbria
12 months, Mon-Thu 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-11am
Up to £45-50 per hour, Outside IR35
- Lead and supervise subcontractors, ensuring all work is conducted safely and in line with the approved risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
- Deliver accurate pre-job briefings to subcontractors, ensuring clarity on tasks and safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed daily logs of site activities to ensure proper documentation and compliance.
- Collect work packs from Safe System of Work Controllers, ensuring all relevant documents are in place.
- Verify that subcontractors' qualifications (SQEP) are up-to-date and meet the requirements of the project.
- Liaise with client representatives to ensure work packs are approved and the project schedule is being adhered to.
- Present progress reports and updates during weekly meetings, highlighting any issues or delays.
- Provide inductions to new personnel and ensure they are fully briefed on safety and job requirements.
- Attend stakeholder hazard screening meetings and actively review RAMS.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to resolve any on-site issues or concerns.
What You'll Need:
- Proficient in basic IT skills, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to obtain security clearance (SC/DV).
- Experience with C2/R2 and control of the Safe System of Work (SSoW).
- IOSH Managing Safely certification.
- Valid CSCS Supervisor Gold card.
- ECS card with electrical experience is desirable.
