Front End Developer

At AS Watson we are looking for a Front-End Developer for the web shops and apps of our brands Kruidvat and Trekpleister. As a Front-End Developer you play a crucial role in our team and contribute to the growth and success of our eCommerce platforms. In this role you are responsible for developing and documenting complex user stories.

What will you do as a Front-End Developer?

• Development and documentation of complex stories.
• Write clean code, with good code coverage and follow the best practices of the industry.
• Perform peers code reviews.
• Have an understanding of the whole system.
• Work tightly with your team mates, also with those remotely located.
• Work with other teams (like back-end development) to support all phases that precede and follow software development.
• Analyze, debug and fix issues on the live environments when needed.
• Find ways to improve system robustness, resilience and stability.
• Working closely with Business Analysts and Quality Assurance specialists to provide new functionality to our websites.

You will work within the Technology Online Business department at our head office in Renswoude. The Kruidvat and Trekpleister web shops and apps receive millions of visitors. Together you bring the digital projects and changes in the field of eCommerce to life.

• Quite important: a good salary! The starting salary for this position is between € 4.000,- and € 5.000,- gross per month for a 40-hour working week.

This is you

• A degree in Information Technology or a related subject.
• 3 years' experience working in IT.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial-page updates, SSR and CCR and REST API.
• Proficient understanding of JavaScript client side frameworks (e.g. Angular, REACT, VueJs, WebComponents).
• Proficient understanding of State Management Tool (e.g. Redux, RxJS, NGRX).
• Strong knowledge of CSS pre-processing platforms, (e.g. LESS and SASS).
• Strong knowledge of distributed version-control system.
• Understanding of Java server-side programming technologies (e.g. JSP).
• Knowledge of Web design tools (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, XD).
• Fluent English (preferred Dutch).
• You live in the Netherlands.
• Knowledge of Spartacus commerce cloud by SAP is a plus.
