Key Responsibilities:Year-End:

Prepare year-end accounting packs for group companies.

Prepare statutory accounts using Iris software.

First point of contact for audit information requests.

Prepare consolidated fixed asset reports.

Month-End:

Reconcile and raise accruals for interest charges.

Identify and post cash in transit.

Perform monthly bank reconciliations.

Calculate and post betting duty journals.

Reconcile asset suspense accounts.

Calculate and post depreciation.

Prepare monthly capital expenditure reports.

Reconcile all balance sheet accounts and resolve reconciling items.

Statutory Returns:

Account for, pay, and submit returns for:

VAT returns (3 companies)

Quarterly returns

National Statistics

Requirements:

Qualified accountant or studying for a recognised accountancy qualification.

Excellent communication skills.

Comfortable dealing with senior/executive management.

Able to work under pressure and manage own workload.
