Hays are delighted to be partnered with a housing association based in Paisley. They are looking for a finance manager to join their team. This role is a 6-month contract, with a permanent possibility. The role is hybrid with the company looking for someone to start immediately. The hours of work will be Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Your new role
Reporting to the finance director, your role will include such duties as:

Manage the organisation's finances to ensure they are well-handled and meet all financial regulatory requirements.

Deliver financial services effectively, ensuring high standards and efficiency.

Develop and adhere to financial policies and procedures to maintain consistency and compliance.

Monitor performance and ensure achievement of set performance standards.

Lead, manage, and train the finance team to ensure they are well-equipped and motivated.

Ensure compliance with statutory accounting requirements and regulatory frameworks.

Prepare annual accounts for audit in line with statutory requirements and best practices.

Produce Management Accounts and report on Financial Covenants regularly, either quarterly or monthly.

Collaborate with senior management to prepare the Annual Budget.

Supervise and authorise the workload of the finance team, ensuring effective management and support.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a fully qualified or qualified by experience accountant. Furthermore, you will possess strong communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate with others in a team. Additionally, you will need to be highly organised and have excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritise effectively.
