Job Description
Finance Assistant
Part-Time 20-25hrs
Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Elevation Accountancy & Finance Recruitment are delighted to be working with a business in the Rotherham area as they look to recruit a Finance Assistant into their team on a part time, permanent basis.
20-25 hours per week to be worked across 3 full days or 5 short days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update banking records on a daily basis
- Prepare daily cash flow and financial reports
- Process and calculate bank payments, ensuring remittance emails are issued promptly
- Perform administrative tasks to support financial operations
- Manage daily cash activities
- Process cheque payments, BACS transactions, and record these in finance systems
- Handle payments and petty cash transactions
- Update financial records with purchase ledger direct debits
- Assist with general office tasks to support the finance team
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Familiarity with Excel and prior experience with financial systems
- Experience in data processing, including invoices or bank transactions
- Previous work in a finance-related role and experience in preparing reports
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines consistently
