An exciting manufacturing company is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team. They are seeking a motivated, passionate individual who can make an immediate impact and progress their career in a well-established environment.
Your New Role
As a Finance Assistant, you will:
- Oversee and manage the entire payment process, including vendor payments, licensor payments, subcontractor payments, employee reimbursements, and intercompany transfers.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all payments in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Verify new vendors and any bank changes according to company policies.
- Maintain and reconcile accounts payable ledgers, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Collaborate with Sales Managers and Merchandising Teams to ensure proper documentation and approval of invoices.
- Monitor cash flow and forecast payment schedules to ensure sufficient funds are available for project needs.
- Develop and implement payment policies and procedures to improve efficiency and control.
- Resolve payment discrepancies and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare and present regular reports on payment activities and financial status to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in payment management.
- Raise and answer queries through the appropriate channels, liaising with relevant stakeholders.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position.
- AAT Level 2 or higher.
- Ability to manage deadlines.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
