Job Description

We're looking for a Facilities Co-ordinator to join the team at Blickling Estate with the skills to maintain the site's amazing condition and keep it running safely and smoothly for all staff, volunteers and visitors.

You'll work full-time (37.5 hours per week) on a permanent contract, based on site at Blickling Estate. Because Blickling Estate is in a rural area, please think about how you'd be able to get here for work before applying for this role.

We're currently undertaking our pay review process and it is likely that this salary will be increased from 1st April 2025.

What it's like to work here

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll provide support to the wider Facilities & Business Services Team ensuring compliance with National Trust's Policies, Health and Safety Legislation and best working practices. This is an important role supporting key functions of the wider estate from organising and co-ordinating proactive maintenance and repair works, to compliance monitoring, ensuring a safe working environment and providing business services functions. You'll be a key member of the team, and fully embrace the property ethos of supporting other teams to help achieve shared goals.

What you'll be doing

As the Facilities Co-ordinator, you'll be making sure that Blickling Estate operates as it should, by playing a vital role in an efficient, effective and flexible facilities management service. You'll be helping with the planning and implementation of both planned and reactive maintenance and repairs across the estate's buildings and infrastructure. This may also include lending a hand with practical tasks occasionally. You'll support the property team by keeping presentation and maintenance standards high.

No two days will be the same so you'll need a keen eye for detail, strong practical skills and an aptitude for administrative processes. There will also be developmental training opportunities available within the role.

Occasional travel to other National Trust sites may be required, for which travel expenses will be paid. Your role will also involve some manual handling and entails significant use of a laptop or desktop PC.

You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what's possible in this role.
