Expert Development and Delivery Caseworker - Positive Relationships and Sexual Behaviours
The basics
Location: Face to face delivery - pan-London; agile working
Contract: Permanent, Subject to funding
Hours: 32 hours over a 4-day week
Starting salary: £33,545
The Organisation
Our client works with young people and families who are affected by violence and exploitation. They believe that when a child or young person comes to them, they are just that - a child or a young person: they don't define them by the issue that has brought them to them. By working alongside young people, their families and peers in the places where they spend their time, they can create a secure space not just for them, but for everyone.
Who you are
You are committed and resilient, with the expertise and knowledge to work alongside young people who have engaged in concerning and harmful sexual behaviour and are able to develop the service to meet required needs. Within your role as an Expert Development and Delivery caseworker, you will provide support to young people to secure the safety and positive outcomes they want.
What the role involves
In this role, you will work alongside children and young people who have been exposed to or have engaged in harmful sexual behaviour. Within your role as an Expert Development and Delivery caseworker, you will provide one to one support to young people, as well as develop the service with a focus on making it accessible and meet the needs of girls and young women and young people who are neurodiverse. You will also be required to share your knowledge and expertise with colleagues. You will be expected to provide robust risk and needs assessments that reflect the contexts within which harm has occurred, and to work collaboratively with partnership agencies to reduce risk and secure services and support.
Additional Information
Our client is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and they expect anyone who works and volunteers with them to share this commitment. As part of this commitment, they will request a DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check, as well as references covering the last five years for the successful candidates.
Our client values diversity and encourages and welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds. They know that in order to make a secure place for young people, they need a diverse range of perspectives, experience, and knowledge.
What our client offers
Our client continually reviews its pay, and they currently offer the following benefits package to all employees:
- 4-day/32-hour work week. Since 1st April 2024, our client has transitioned to a 4-day working week with no impact on pay. This means that you will have a regular day off in the week with no impact on your pay.
- Agile working. This means you will have the flexibility to work in different locations including from home, our client's office and/or community locations (libraries/co-working spaces) when you are not delivering face to face work in the community.
- Flexible Working: their Flexible Working Policy allows requests to work flexibly from the start of your employment.
- A contributory Pension Scheme.
- Interest-free Season Ticket Loans.
- A Cycle to Work Scheme.
- A Mental Health Helpline.
- Death in Service Benefit.
- Opportunities to develop and progress your career, including an extensive programme of courses and acting up/additional responsibilities roles.
- An initial Annual Leave allowance as a full-time employee, of 179 hours' holiday in each annual leave year, plus bank holidays and other statutory holidays occurring during the leave year. Pro rata for part time staff. This rises to 192 hours after 3 years' service and 211 after 5 years' service.
