CKL Developments are an award-winning classic car restoration and racing business based in Battle, East Sussex, specialising in Jaguar powered cars from the 1950s and 1960s

We are currently looking for an:

Executive Assistant & Operations Administrator

We have an exciting and challenging role for a talented, organised and driven individual to join the team at CKL Developments.

The brief is broad ranging and offers great opportunity for personal and career development to the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

In the Executive Assistant part of the role you will be providing high-level administrative and secretarial support to one of the Joint Managing Directors, managing their calendar, handling correspondence, arranging travel, coordinating meetings, and generally ensuring the smooth operation of their day-to-day activities, often requiring a high level of confidentiality and strong organisational skills.

In the role of Operations Administrator you will be responsible for the following:

  • Logistics - arranging in-house and subcontract transport and drivers
  • Race Events - all aspects of preparation for race events including entries, transport, accommodation, documentation, billing and equipment
  • Vehicle Sales - process management including initial enquiry, agreements, advertising, correspondence, CRM updates, documentation and meetings
  • Workshop - assist the Managing Director and others with efficient running of the Workshop as required including enquiries, bookings, estimates, invoicing, performance monitoring and subcontractor management

These are the key areas of responsibility but the postholder will be expected to get involved in all aspects of the business operations as required in order to support the Managing Director as necessary.

Requirements

You will have experience in the various aspects of the role described, but above all we are looking for a self-motivated and passionate individual who thrives on taking responsibility for delivering in a challenging, fast-paced working environment.

You will be/have:

  • Detail-oriented
  • High level of organisational skills
  • Able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite especially Outlook and Teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • A team player
  • Experience of or interest in the classic car, motorsport or other related industry
  • An understanding of vehicle repairs and maintenance, but detailed knowledge is not essential
  • Able to maintain a calm demeanour and sense of humour even when under pressure

This is a permanent full-time (35-40hrs/week) office-based role with flexible start time (7.00am to 8.30am) based at our premises in Battle, East Sussex. Due to the nature of the role some evening or weekend availability may occasionally be required.
