Job Description

A fantastic membership association is seeking an experienced Events Manager to lead the planning, development, and delivery of key events, including industry conferences, award ceremonies, training sessions, and networking events. This is an exciting maternity cover opportunity offering a competitive salary and hybrid working in Central London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and successfully deliver major events, including conferences, awards, training programmes, and ad hoc gatherings.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to finalise event programmes within strict deadlines.
  • Manage all event logistics, including CRM setup, ticketing, registration, travel, accommodation, and venue and speaker coordination.
  • Ensure event spaces, including exhibition stands and networking zones, are cost-effective, align with brand values, and maximise engagement.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote events, working within budget to achieve strong attendance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including designers, printers, mailing houses, and publishers, ensuring timely and cost-effective event delivery.
  • Identify sponsorship opportunities and manage event-related activities in collaboration with partnership teams.
  • Oversee event budgets, tracking key financial metrics such as attendance, revenue, and cost per participant, while ensuring financial targets are met.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven track record in planning, managing, and marketing large-scale events.
  • Strong experience coordinating external suppliers and working with senior stakeholders.
  • Expertise in online event platforms such as Zoom Webinar, Zoom Meetings, and MS Teams.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and diplomacy.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience managing budgets effectively.
  • Previous line management experience.

What s on Offer:

  • Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum
  • Contract: Maternity cover
  • Location: Hybrid working (Central London, 2-3 days per week)
