Events Fundraising Manager

c.£40,000 per annum
Hybrid Working, Surrey Based, Full Time

The Talent Set is delighted to partner with a specialist charity based in Surrey in recruiting a dedicated and proactive Events Fundraising Manager. This pivotal role will lead the charity s events programme, delivering high-impact events to drive supporter engagement, elevate the charity s profile, and maximise income. The successful candidate will develop strategies for special events, manage event committees, and foster relationships with key supporters to strengthen engagement across the charity s events portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with special event committee chairs and members, providing the necessary guidance and support from charity to achieve successful event outcomes.
  • Lead and manage the annual programme of special events, including flagship dinners and auctions, delivering exceptional experiences that foster long-term, engaged donor relationships.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of the annual events and challenges fundraising programme, ensuring high-quality supporter care that enhances engagement and maximises fundraising success.
  • Collaborate with other fundraising managers to ensure events are aligned with broader organisational goals, tailoring each event to effectively reach target audiences and boost support.
  • Facilitate and direct regular committee meetings and briefings, ensuring activities align with agreed Memorandums of Understanding.
  • Proactively identify and explore new opportunities to grow and revitalise the special events and specialist programme, developing investment cases to drive future growth.

Person Specification:

  • Demonstrable experience in managing income-generating events, including oversight of suppliers, venues, and logistics to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with experience in collaborating with Special Events Committees, volunteers, and Senior Leadership Teams to meet shared objectives.
  • Proficient in budget planning and financial management, ensuring events are delivered on budget and maximising income potential.
  • Skilled in using events as a stewardship tool to foster long-term engagement, creating memorable experiences that strengthen supporter relationships.
  • Strong communicator with clear, engaging written and verbal skills; proficient in MS Office and CRM databases, with a solid understanding of effective customer care.
  • Highly organised and flexible, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining enthusiasm and delivering excellent service to supporters and stakeholders.
