Job Description

Event Manager - FTC for 24 months

Salary - £45,970 rising to £48,388 per annum plus agile working allowance

Our range of excellent benefits include 39 days holiday allowance including bank holidays in addition to 4 days Christmas closure, 21 hours wellbeing leave, wellbeing contribution, generous pension scheme and commitment to personal growth through funded learning.

You will be homebased within the UK in line with our agile working policy with the view to attend meetings and events across the UK when required.

Job summary

Are you an experienced Event Manager looking for a new challenge? This position requires strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Events Manager to ensure the operational delivery of all NAHT events, including but not limited to training courses, conferences (including Annual Conference), consultancies and roadshows, ensuring they are organised and delivered to high professional standards, taking proper account of Health & Safety, Equality Act and Data Protection legislation.

This role is also responsible for developing, monitoring and managing budgets for all events to ensure they are delivered on budget and generate surplus for the organisation.

You will shape events from start to finish, collaborating closely with NAHT teams and external partners to deliver against clearly defined objectives.

Person specification

We are looking for a proactive individual who has significant experience of managing the delivery of courses on a commercial basis, including use of event management systems and collection of fees. You will need strong multi-tasking and prioritisation skills and be able to work on several projects simultaneously.

Attention to detail is really key for this role and you must be comfortable working in a small team and be happy to support the team with the nitty gritty admin when required as well as the bigger tasks of event management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must, as well as being comfortable dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. Being highly confident in in the use of MS-Word and MS-Excel is essential for this role.
