Estimator

We are looking to recruit an Estimator to work for a thriving business based in Dudley. They will ideally have a minimum of 1 years estimating experience in a construction or joinery-based role. The role will report into the Sales & Office Manager.The main duties will be:o Prepare high quality quotations by evaluating enquiries, drawings, specifications, and related documentso Understand technical capabilities and product suitability with regards to environment and specificationo Identify labour, material, and time requirements by studying enquiries, drawings, specifications, and related documentso Deal with inbound telephone & counter sales enquiries as requiredo Review and where necessary, liaise with relevant business delivery departments (CAD, Contracts and Production) ensuring proposed contracts can be fulfilled technically, operationally, and commerciallyo Obtain quotations from external supplierso Ensure all tenders have full and complete electronic fileso Ensure tender requirements / submission dates are meto Have awareness of competitor movements in terms of pricing or ranges promotedo Effective follow up of tenders / quotations of interest e.g., live contracts and / or jobs of significant value or opportunityo Liaise with and build relationships with customers internal and externalo Maintain and expand technical knowledge by attending any company provided training as requiredQualifications & skills required for job role:o Minimum of 1 years Estimating experience in a Construction or Joinery based roleo Understanding of Technical and Construction Drawingso Excellent written & verbal communication skills along with strong computing skills (Word & Excel)o Keen attention to detailo Ability to interface directly and effectively with customers & work colleaguesIn return the client will provide a competitive salary, a modern working environment, and a successful business to join.
