Job description
We have a new role at TNO in Geleen (the Netherlands) for an Engineer Researcher in Plasma Technology.
As an Engineer Researcher in Plasma Technology, you will play a key role in developing next-generation plasma processes at Brightsite, their state-of-the-art research hub at Chemelot in Geleen (the Netherlands). Here, they are transforming the chemical industry by electrifying processes and integrating plasma technology into large-scale applications.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Defining and executing innovative research in plasma technology.
- Designing, performing, and analyzing plasma experiments.
- Collecting and processing measurement data with a critical and analytical mindset.
- Contributing to the development and commissioning of cutting-edge plasma setups that go beyond the current state-of-the-art.
- Collaborating with colleagues across disciplines, both within and outside of TNO, to drive impactful research.
- Communicating results in a clear and insightful manner.
We seek an Engineer Researcher in Plasma Technology who is eager to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and international environment. - Proven track record in the field of chemical and plasma processes, such as:

Terms of employment

It concerns a secondment agreement at TNO via Yacht for 1 year, with possibility of extension and a good future perspective to join TNO with a permanent contract after first year.
We offer a competitive salary in accordance with the TNO Collective Labor Agreement, and an ATV allowance (maximum salary of 5400 euro gross per 4 weeks based on 40 h per week).
Full-time (40 h p/w preferred; 32-36 h p/w is discussible)
You will work on location at TNO (3 days - on-site; 2 days - remote) and will be part of a challenging and innovative projects.
