Sue Ryder has an exciting career opportunity within our Marketing, Communications and Digital services directorate for a driven and impactful Email Marketing Manager.
The successful applicant will lead the development and execution of innovative email marketing and SMS campaigns that drive engagement and conversions.

About the role:

You will manage email strategy, content creation, audience segmentation, and performance analysis to enhance brand awareness and grow our supporter base. Reporting to the Senior Digital Manager, this role line manages the Email Marketing Officer and works closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Supporter Experience, Fundraising and Retail.
Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end email marketing process from campaign planning, content development, A/B testing, list management, automation, and personalisation to performance tracking and reporting.

About you:

  • Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing effective email marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing platforms and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, deliverability and optimisation techniques.
  • Experience in supporter stewardship communications and journey planning to boost engagement and lifetime value.
  • A highly skilled copywriter with excellent attention to detail and demonstrable experience in writing content for a variety of topics, including appeals, events, retail, and stewardship communications.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive decisions.
  • Strong line management skills and the ability to win hearts and minds of colleagues from other directorates.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in sharing expertise to upskill other team members, encouraging creativity and innovation.
  • A passion for the charity sector and a commitment to our cause.
