Electronics and Instrumentation Engineer

Functieomschrijving

As an Electronics and Instrumentation Engineer you will analyze customer needs, translate

these to system requirements, create conceptual designs and build experimental setups to

demonstrate key aspects, all together with your colleagues. You will help realize and experimentally

characterize full instrument prototypes; both as TNO-owned technology demonstrators and as

prototypes for our high-profile international customers.

As an engineer in our department, you are the key person who is involved in a number of different

projects from the early requirements phase to the verification testing of hardware. In collaboration

with the systems engineer and other technical specialists, you specify electronic functionality on a

concept level and create and implement electronic designs. You specify electronics functionality on

an architecture level and create concept designs. You supervise the detailed design and realization

by subcontractors, and you work on functional tests and troubleshooting.

Functie-eisen

- You have a BSc in Electrical engineering with a specialization in microelectronics and/or

instrumentation.

- You have experience with PCB design and can design and analyze analog electronic circuits.

- You preferably have experience in working with complex hardware setups in a Space or Semicon high tech environment

- You are proactive, have good communication and teamwork skills, and you feel at ease with the

uncertainties and changing requirements typical of an R&D environment
