Electrical Design Engineer

Our well-established and highly respected Engineering client in Bridgend is expanding and seeking a talented engineer to join their forward-thinking team on a permanent basis.

This is a key hire for the company, where you will play a leading role in designing, developing, and testing cutting-edge electrical control systems for their niche product range. You'll be part of a highly technical and global organisation, whose products are sold worldwide across multiple industry sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical circuits for new and existing products.
• Write detailed control specifications and generate build documentation.
• Develop commissioning procedures and ensure seamless installation.
• Work closely with end-users and contractors to ensure flawless execution.
• Investigate and resolve technical challenges, driving continuous improvement.
• Contribute to evolving design standards and best practices.

What we're Looking For:

• HND/Degree in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering.
• Strong background in electrical, controls, or automation engineering.
• Experience across the full product lifecycle - from concept to completion.
• Familiarity with safety standards (12100, 60204, 13849).
• Proficiency in electrical drawing packages (e.g., ePLAN).
• Hands-on experience with electrical builds and diagnostic tools.

Salary & Benefits:

• Up to £55,000 (depending on experience).
