Job Title: EducationalPsychologist

Location: Shropshire Region based at OvertonSchool

Contract: Permanent, 52weeks

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Mon to Fri 08.30am -16.30pm

Salary: Up to£63,840 DOE

Essential: Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehiclerequired

About theRole

You'll join ourmulti-disciplinary team of dedicated and embedded clinical staffproviding psychological assessment and intervention for pupilswithin the schools, guidance for education teams and professionaldevelopment training for staff. The role involves communicatingwith families / carers and specialist agencies and ClinicalLeadership may be potentially linked to this role. You'llwork alongside the clinical teams' Occupational Therapists, Speechand Language Therapists, Psychotherapists, Psychologists, AssistantPsychologists and Therapies Assistant's.

Due tomost children and young people in OFG already having EHCP's onplacement entry, our Educational Psychologists are afforded thecapacity to support children and young people without the timeconstraints associated with EHCN assessments. You will be involvedin a rich variety of work, delivering and supporting children andyoung people at universal, targeted and specialist service levels,to meet their EHCP identified needs, and emerging needs.

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for a qualified Educational Psychologistwith a masters or doctoral professional qualification and HCPCregistration. You'll need to be creative and passionate aboutimproving outcomes for pupils with complex needs.

The ideal candidate will be resilient and have experienceof working in with people with complex SEN needs. You'll need to bea good communicator with strong skills in assessment and reportwriting.

KeyAccountabilities:

  • Provide psychological assessment andintervention for pupils within the schools

  • Offer guidance for educationteams

  • To providesupervision to agreed members of the clinicalteam

  • Communicating withfamilies/ carers and specialist agencies

  • Engage in professional development training forall staff

Essential Criteria

  • A doctoral or masters professional qualificationin Educational Psychology

  • Registered with the HCPC as qualifiedEducational Psychologist

  • Creative and passionate about improving outcomesfor pupils

  • Able to work aspart of a team and be self-reliant

  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to ownvehicle required
