Design Technology (DT) Teacher - West Leicestershire-based Secondary School

About the Role:
Hays are in partnership with an Ofsted-rated 'Good' Secondary School in West Leicestershire who are seeking a passionate and dedicated Design Technology (DT) Teacher to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will primarily teach KS3 DT/Food, with a small portion of the timetable dedicated to Year 10 Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in KS3 DT/Food.
• Teach Year 10 Engineering for 6 lessons per fortnight.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to inspire students.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching DT/Food at KS3 level.
• Knowledge of Engineering principles and ability to teach Year 10 Engineering.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
