DT Teacher

Southport Secondary School is looking for a DT teacher to join their team as soon as possible.
About the roleAs a teacher, you will be responsible for:

Planning, preparing and delivering engaging and effective lessons that meet the needs and abilities of all learners.

Assessing, recording and reporting on the progress and attainment of students

Providing feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their skills and confidence

Contributing to the development of the curriculum and departmental policies

Collaborating with other teachers and staff to share best practices and support the school's vision and ethos

Participating in professional development activities and meetings

About youTo be successful in this role, you will need:

A relevant degree and a qualified teacher status (QTS)

Experience of teaching Design Technology at KS3 and KS4 level

A passion for DT and a desire to inspire students

A commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the school

Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills

A willingness to contribute to the extracurricular activities of the school
