Job Description
Digital Storytelling Officer

-Permanent

-National (remote) or London

-35 hours per week

-Starting salary - £29,855.00 per annum (National), £32,880.72 per annum (if London based)

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.

This role sits within our Storytelling Knowledge Group within our Social Impact Domain which works to engage our audiences and inspire social change across society. As a digital contend producer your role will be to lead our organic social media strategy and to manage our digital channels.

About the roleWe are looking for a highly motivated individual to develop engaging content for our website and social media digital channels to raise brand profile and build audience understanding and engagement with our strategic priority areas, helping to shape societal attitudes, grow action, income and impact, in pursuit of our 2030 goal to improve youth well-being.

Skills and competenciesIn order to be successful in this role:

-You enjoy curating and creating social media content to promote to targeted audiences.

-You are comfortable writing long-form content for web, such as blogs and campaign pages.

-You're proactive, supportive, and you have strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, show initiative and deliver to deadlines.

-You have positive, collaborative relationships and people describe you as a considerate problem-solver.
