Job Description

On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Digital Performance Analyst (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract based in Birmingham, Manchester or Leeds 2-3 days per week.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. As the UK's biggest public service department, it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers. Working with DWP, you will be helping us to drive our priorities to:

As a Digital Performance Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:
* Work with the Digital Project Manager to understand the roadmap and priorities of their business area. Coordinate workloads with other digital performance analysts and data scientists in your area to ensure focus is on the highest priorities
* Understand the needs of the service users and how the service is going to measure if they've been met.
* Nurture relationships with multi-disciplinary agile teams promoting analysis and driving continual iterative improvements through evidence-based decision making
* Take a leading role in the development of the performance frameworks and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the service, build dashboards and reusable reports to communicate key metrics
* Work with web analysis tools to gather data and provide insight on citizen user journeys
* Provide guidance on data collection from multiple sources to measure a service.
* Develop and deliver training materials to upskill colleagues on the usage of Google Analytics data

Technical Skills required
* Google Analytics
* Google Tag Manager
* SQL / Big Query
* Looker Studio

Knowledge and Experience required:
* You nurture a deep understanding of business goals and can turn these into tangible performance measures. You can support teams building digital products to agree and work with the KPIs and measures of success.
* You can prioritise work within a complex area and coordinate with colleagues across disciplines to ensure effective delivery
* You can inspire, coach and upskill others to deliver insightful analysis and creative solutions to problems, offering recommendations on the best tools and methods to be used.
* You can turn complex data into compelling, clear and actionable stories. You can present insights and visualisations in clear ways to communicate complex messages. You can communicate negative and positive information to stakeholders. You know how to give tactical and strategic recommendations.
* You can work with, and influence, senior stakeholders. You can adapt the approach according to constraints. You can see and implement changes necessary, improving processes and ways of working whilst considering their impact.
