Digital Media Specialist (Taxonomist)

Required for a fuly-remote contract with a London-based client, a digital media consultant with a specialism in Taxonomies.

Role:

-Evolve and maintain taxonomies

-Collaborate with subject matter experts and coordinate alignment with stakeholders

-Design models that represent specialized knowledge and points of view, with the flexibility to cover a growing set of global contexts and content domains

-Maintain mappings between datasets

-Participate in cross-funcitonal groups for governing change

Experience:

-Have a degree in library or information science

-Experience developing taxonomies

-Background in media

-Experience using book publishing industry schemas (BISAC, Thema)

-Familiarity with taxonomy management platforms using standards (RDF)

-Comfortable working with distributed teams across multiple timezones
