The in-house operation

The IT department is responsible for and designs the entire IT of the City of Munich. We ensure that IT provision meets the city's current and future needs. We drive the digitalization of the city of Munich and play a pioneering role. Our work and services make the city of Munich a digital metropolis that sets standards that its employees are proud of.

As part of the IT department, we ensure a modern IT and telecommunications infrastructure, implement professional IT solutions and secure the IT operations of the City of Munich with over 1,200 employees in our own company

What you can expect

As part of our dynamic team, you will work on the implementation and optimization of electronic file solutions and enjoy finding innovative solutions for our customers to improve their work processes. Our tasks include technical and functional operations, product development and the implementation of e-file projects as well as the introduction of input management. This also includes the further development of the IT architecture, the connection of specialist procedures via a REST interface and seamless integration into existing structures. We advise our customers on the optimal use of e-file and input management systems and develop solutions based on standards.

You have
  • a successfully completed university degree in the field of computer science, administrative informatics or business informatics or
  • a successfully completed university degree with several years (at least two years) of professional experience in the IT sector or equivalent skills and experience
In particular, you will have
  • Specialist knowledge: in the operation of applications and in the administration of the Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Service and service orientation
  • Communication skills, especially information and communication skills
