We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Development Manager with Scrum certification to lead the development team through an exciting initiative.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives
As the Development Manager for this project, you will be responsible for overseeing the development team, ensuring the successful execution of the project using Agile methodologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver a robust solution that meets our clients' needs. Your expertise in Scrum and software development will be critical in driving team performance, managing stakeholder expectations, and delivering high-quality outcomes.

* Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
* Scrum Master Duties: Act as the Scrum Master, facilitating Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning) and ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
* Project Management: Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets. Monitor progress and report on project status to stakeholders.
* Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize project requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals.
* Technical Oversight: Oversee the technical design and implementation of the project, ensuring best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
* Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues related to project delivery and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
* Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging feedback and implementing process enhancements.
* Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and outcomes.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality deliverables through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to development standards.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
* Proven experience as a Development Manager, preferably in financial services.
* Strong understanding of Agile and experience implementing Scrum practices.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in software development processes and tools (eg, Git, Jira, CI/CD).
* Experience with pension administration systems or financial software is a plus.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing requirements.
