About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Design and Technology Teacher with a specialism in Engineering and Resistant Materials to join our dynamic team on a temporary, long-term supply basis. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students in Peterlee, fostering their creativity and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Design and Technology, with a focus on Engineering and Resistant Materials.

Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.

Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.

Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment.

Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Specialism in Engineering and Resistant Materials.

Proven experience in teaching Design and Technology at secondary level.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
