Kier Group are lookingfor a design engineer to join our growing civil and structuraldesign team based in Leeds

Kier Professional Services (KPS) are the engineeringconsultancy division of Kier Group, providing design solutions,technical advice, and engineering support to all other Kierbusiness units.

Weundertake over 2,000 designs a year in support of over 400projects, making us one of the UK's largest Temporary Worksdesigners. Our 100+ Temporary Works engineers have extensiveexperience in designing and checking Temporary Works for projectsof all sizes and across all sectors.

Location: Leeds- remoteworking available, with occasional travel to the officerequired

What will your responsibilitiesbe?

As a design engineer insideKPS you will be working closely with project teams to supportwith the delivery of a broad range of civil and structuralrelated services in both Temporary and Permanent Works throughoutthe Kier business. You will also contribute to thedelivery of more complex services by providing solutions whichare safe and buildable (in both their temporary and permanentstates).

What will your day to daywill involve?

• Temporary Works design and checking, above and belowground in all materials, integrated with Permanent Works design ifapplicable.
• Delivery of alternative solutionsand value engineering, enhancing Kiers reputation
• Tender stage and bid winning support, focusing onbuildability, efficiency, and innovation.
• Technical assessment and review of 3rd party designs,ensuring compliance with the brief to meet client and Kierrequirements.
• Delivery of alternativesolutions and value engineering, enhancing Kier's competitiveposition

What are we lookingfor?

• You must haveseveral years post-graduate experience.
• Aninterest in Temporary Works Design or experienced inalready.
• You have a full UK drivinglicence.
