Data Governance Project Manager (Microsoft Fabric/Informatica)

On behalf of Tesco IMS, AMS are now looking for a Data Governance Project Manager (Microsoft Fabric/Informatica) for a 6 months (with potential extension) month contract based in the bank's Edinburgh office on a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities

Role Overview:

As Data Governance Project Manager (Microsoft Fabric/Informatica) you will lead the implementation of Microsoft Fabric as a data platform within Microsoft Purview and Informatica. This role will focus on data governance strategy, project management, and business-IT collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the deployment of Microsoft Fabric, Purview, and Informatica as data governance tools.
• Lead business and IT change delivery, ensuring smooth implementation of data governance solutions.
• Work closely with business teams to align data governance strategies with organisational goals.
• Develop and maintain a data catalogue to ensure efficient data governance practices.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, ensuring data governance solutions meet business requirements.
• Maintain RAID logs, define work with data analysts, and use Confluence, SharePoint, Jira, and Visio for project tracking.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong Data Governance Expertise and proven experience in implementing data governance tools and strategies.
• Experience in technologies like Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Purview, Alation, Informatica, IBM Infosphere.
• Experience leading governance projects.
• Experience with SDLC, systems change, and data platform implementation.
• Understanding of data types, data governance processes, and business-as-usual (BAU) operations.
• Background in Financial Services or Insurance is preferred.
