Are you an experienced Data Engineer with a strong background in data retention, archiving, and compliance within a regulated environment? Our client, a leading global bank, is looking for a skilled professional to join their team and play a crucial role in managing their data storage and governance infrastructure.

This is an exciting chance to work with a major financial institution, ensuring their data retention and archiving strategies align with compliance requirements while supporting critical business functions like Legal and Compliance. The role offers a mix of technical expertise, stakeholder collaboration, and strategic impact, with opportunities for career growth and innovation.

Define and manage data retention, archiving, and backup policies
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and support audits & investigations
Oversee data storage environments with a target of 99.999% uptime
Work closely with IT, Compliance, and Legal teams to facilitate data governance
Drive storage innovation and implement cutting-edge archiving solutions
Collaborate with global IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders

Experience in data storage, archiving, and backup solutions within a regulated sector
Strong understanding of data compliance, retention policies, and financial regulations
Ability to interact with technical teams and business stakeholders at all levels
Experience in object storage solutions, long-term data retention, and life cycle management
Familiarity with Agile & SCRUM methodologies (desirable)
A proactive and problem-solving mindset with excellent communication skills
