Data Delivery Manager
Posted 1 day 16 hours ago by NATIONAL TRUST
National Trust has developed sector-leading carbon accounting and reporting capabilities in recent years to support its response to the global climate emergency. However, this is a dynamic field and there is always need for improvement and innovation. We now have an exciting opportunity for an individual with the passion, skills and knowledge to help us reimagine our approach to measuring and reducing carbon in our global supply chain.
So, we are looking for a Data Delivery Manager (Carbon) to join us on an 18-month contract. You'll be part of our Data Team (including GIS, Business Intelligence and Enterprise Data Teams), working closely with our Climate and Environment colleagues (to understand their carbon accounting needs), our Procurement teams (to help them build robust carbon accounting in their processes) and IT developers (to enhance our toolset to monitor progress to carbon Net Zero).
What it's like to work here
You'll report to the Head of Data within the Data Team. Your primary client will be the Senior National Consultant on Low Carbon.
Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.
Additional UK travel may be required to interact with subject matter experts and suppliers.
What you'll be doing
You'll be accountable for driving delivery of the tools, reports, processes and training/awareness needed for National Trust to transparently account for and track carbon in its purchased goods and services. To do this, you'll bring together a diverse range of procurement, low carbon and IT subject matter experts, building consensus on the best way to measure, record and report carbon and identify initiatives to reduce or remove carbon from the supply chain. You'll plan and oversee the delivery of several project phases that will incrementally deliver these tools, processes and reports.
The ideal candidate will have worked in a data/ analytical environment, helping organisations identify and solve data-orientated business problems using their strong project/ delivery management skillset and stakeholder management experience to bring together the right people around the problem, then leading a delivery team to successfully deliver against agreed timelines. Familiarity with carbon accounting and supply chains is not essential but would be an advantage.
Who we're looking for
