Data Centre Engineer

I Systems Ltd are seeking a Data Centre Trained Engineer to join our team to work nationwide on our customer sites.

Who you are:-

The candidate should have at least 5 years experience working in the data centre environment

Be eligible for SC clearance if needed

Willing to work away from home is essential (some work abroad is optional)

An excellent knowledge of structured cabling

Confident with racking and stacking customer equipment including some in rack DC power cabling from a DC rail

Patching and ILM testing of SM, MM and MPO fibre circuits

CAT6 patching and testing

Ability to problem solve and work with the customer/team to complete tasks on time

Ability to work alone or as part of a team

A good knowledge of excel and email is essential

Clean driving license

Ideally would have:-

Termination of SM and MM fibre in a data centre environment experience

RF knowledge including termination and testing

Containment installation experience

A competitive salary of £36k to £39k + overtime (depending on experience)
