Data and Communications Officer
Duration: Temporary role until March 2025
Pay: £18.12 per hour plus £2.19 per hour holiday pay (equivalent to full-time annual salary of £32,981 pro rata)
Hours: Part-time (3 days, 21 hours per week)
Location: London (Hybrid working with 1 day per week in the office near Ladbroke Grove)

This pivotal role will sit at the heart of the charity, managing critical data and ensuring impactful communications that enhance engagement and support for member organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Management and Reporting
Manage and maintain the CRM database (CiviCRM), ensuring it supports organisations' monitoring, reporting, and operational needs.
Provide data reporting, analytics, and user support to enhance the organisation's business intelligence.
Improve processes and ensure compliance with data protection/GDPR regulations.
Communications and Website Management
Oversee and continuously improve the website, including content, layout, and user journeys.
Manage digital communication channels such as e-bulletins and social media to effectively engage stakeholders.
Provide training and support to colleagues in using digital tools and platforms.
IT Support
Liaise with technical providers for software development and network management.
Ensure smooth IT storage, software maintenance, and onboarding for new staff.
Support voluntary sector organisations with relevant IT advice as needed.
Policy and Procedures
Monitor and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Contribute to the development and implementation of ICT strategies, policies, and procedures.
Essential and Desirable Skills and Experience
You will have strong experience in website and CRM database administration, ideally with platforms such as Drupal and CiviCRM. Your excellent project management skills will enable you to implement ICT solutions and enhance existing systems effectively. You will bring strong analytical abilities to interpret and report on data, along with outstanding written and verbal communication skills. This includes experience in delivering training and producing clear documentation. A solid understanding of data protection regulations and ICT policy development is essential, as is a proactive approach, the ability to work independently, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
Desirable qualifications include IT certifications or relevant professional experience, as well as experience in supporting voluntary sector organisations.
