Data & Analytics Director - Broking, Underwriting, Actuarial

Our client, a leading speciality broking firm, is seeking a Data & Analytic Director to contribute to strategic direction and drive innovation within Data & Analytics. In this role, you will work closely with the IT leadership team as well and Head's of departments to ensure Data & Analytics is at the forefront of how the business operates, provides a first class service and generates revenue.

You'll excel in this role if you have:

• Proven experience in a data and analytics senior leadership role, within broking or speciality Insurance
• Knowledge of speciality insurance broking, underwriting and actuarial data
• Experience of working in a hybrid Cloud environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Key Technical understanding

• Previous hands-on experience with Power BI, SQL, Python
• AI/ML/Data science knowledge - highly desirable
• Data analytics tools (eg, Power BI, SQL, Python, R)
• Catastrophe modelling software (eg, RMS, AIR)
• Data engineering tools (eg, Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks, Python, SQL, Synapse).

This role offers up a competitive salary and bonus and will be required to be on-site in their London offices 3 days per week.
