Data Analytics Engineer - Hive, Kafka, Cloudera, Data Modelling - vacancy for our Basel based client in the Banking sector.

Your tasks:

• Develop code for end-to-end data pipelines
• Loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed design
• Support on data-related technical issues and data needs

Your experience/knowledge:

• Experienced Data Analytics Engineer (Strong Data Modelling)
• Development expertise on using open-source data technologies such as Hive, Spark and Kafka preferably with Cloudera.
• Hadoop, HBase, Impala, ELK, are highly desirable
• Strong Python development skills
• Expertise in building data ingestion pipelines for data warehouse and/or data lake architecture
• Strong experience in data modelling, design patterns, and building highly scalable applications
• Language skills: English

• A high degree of self-organisation and time management
• Analytical and solution-orientated thinking
