Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Damp and Mould Building Surveyor to join one of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed surveys and inspections to identify and address issues related to damp and mould in residential properties. This role involves diagnosing problems, recommending solutions, and ensuring the implementation of effective remedial actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive surveys and inspections of properties to identify damp and mould issues.
- Diagnose the causes of damp and mould, including condensation, leaks, and structural defects.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and cost estimates for remedial works.
- Liaise with contractors and oversee the implementation of remedial works to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
- Provide technical advice and support to clients, tenants, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage damp and mould complaints, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Keep up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to damp and mould control.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, reports, and remedial actions.
- Professional membership with RICS, CIOB, or equivalent is preferred, but not essential.
- Proven experience in conducting damp and mould surveys and managing remedial works.
- Strong knowledge of Damp and Mould within housing/residential properties
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with contractors, clients, and team members.
Additional Information:
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
- Willingness to travel to various sites as required.
