Cyber Security Expert - Greenfield Project - Perm

Cyber Security Experts required for a Greenfield project with a leading consulting partner, based in the UK on a permanent basis.

We are supporting a leading UK consulting partner in assembling a new Cyber Security team to deliver a high-profile, greenfield programme (awaiting sign off) for a major client. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a cutting-edge security initiative from the ground up.

We are looking to speak with Cyber Security experts who have experience in one or more of the following areas:- Development, Security Consultant/Hands on, and/or Security Architects who are passionate about innovation, risk mitigation, and creating secure digital environments across complex enterprise landscapes.

Key Responsibilities (varies by role)

• Collaborate with internal and client teams to develop secure, scalable solutions.
• Provide technical expertise on application security, infrastructure protection, and risk management.
• Develop and implement security controls across the development life cycle.
• Perform security assessments, threat modelling, and penetration testing where relevant.
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into secure architectures and technical solutions.
• Stay ahead of emerging threats and evolving regulatory frameworks.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a Cyber Security role - Developer, Consultant, or Architect.
• Strong understanding of modern cyber security threats, tools, and techniques.
• Expertise in one or more areas: secure coding, cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), network security, IAM, DevSecOps, or incident response.
• Experience working in enterprise or consultancy environments.
• Ability to work with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and frameworks (eg ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, GDPR, Cyber Essentials+).
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Desirable

• Relevant certifications (eg CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, CCSP, SANS).
• Experience with security tooling (SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, etc.).
• Familiarity with public sector, defence, or critical infrastructure clients.
• Agile or DevOps environment experience.
