Overview
As a Customer Service Advisor based in Taunton, you will play a pivotal role in helping our clients protect what matters most to them. You will be the first point of contact for our customers, delivering top-tier service and providing tailored insurance solutions. Your focus will be on understanding customer needs, answering inquiries, processing policies, and ensuring clients feel supported at every step.
This is a full-time, permanent, office-based role, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Client Interaction: Handle inquiries, provide quotes, process payments, and manage renewals, all while offering excellent customer service at every stage.
- Proactive Engagement: Reach out to existing and prospective clients to uncover additional insurance needs and create new opportunities to serve them.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve issues, clarify customer queries, and provide solutions that meet their needs.
- Outbound Calls: Generate new business by calling existing clients to review their coverage and offering additional products where appropriate.
- Continuous Learning: Stay ahead of the curve by developing your knowledge of our insurance products and services through ongoing training.
- Quality Assurance: Follow service protocols and quality standards to ensure every interaction is consistent with our values and provides a positive experience for clients.
About You
We're looking for someone who is customer-focused and eager to help others. You will need to have:
Experience:
- Prior experience in customer service or a similar role is preferred.
- Experience working with insurance products is a bonus, but not essential (training will be provided).
- Comfortable working with systems and software (full training provided).
- The ability to work to targets and meet deadlines.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to identify and address customer needs with empathy and professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to help others.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Qualifications:
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
- Any additional qualifications in customer service or insurance (eg, NVQ Level 2) are desirable but not required.
