Hybrid working: Depending on service needs, full time office working will be required to meet project demands, this will vary week to week.Typically, a minimum of 2 days office based, including every Wednesday, and the remaining days home working. This will include working in project spaces across the borough.

The next two years will be an exciting time as you support our journey of becoming London Borough of Culture 2025.Wandsworth is changing and culture will be at the heart of developing a people-led approach to health, happiness and equality of opportunity.
As a Cultural Producer, you will be a problem solver and take a hands-on approach. Your role will be key within the programme working with artists, venues and our local community.You will support the delivery of a range of ambitious cultural programmes for communities and artists, Wandsworth Arts Fringe (WAF) 2025 which will mark a significant cultural moment for the borough and build our learning from London Borough of Culture (LBOC) into Wandsworth Arts Fringe 2026 (in June 2026).
About the role
Reporting to the Programme and Partnerships Manager, you will work alongside the current freelance WAF Producer through a transition process for WAF 2025. Your areas of work will include:
- Support development of key programmes with the ability to design, plan, and produce a range of cultural events and activities that resonate with the community. You will support and evaluate the success of the programmes gathering feedback for future initiatives.
- Act as Cultural Producer on a range of existing projects and supporting new activity as part of our ambitious London Borough of Culture Programme, in particular working on Wandsworth Arts Fringe 2025 and Wandsworth Arts Fringe 2026.
- Work closely with artists and organisationswith the opportunity tosupport their development coordinate WAF Creatives Network andsupport partnership working between artists and local organisations.
- Work closely with a range of artists with varied experiences and backgrounds; providing guidance and support as required to ensure they receive the best outcomes from the programme helping them navigate WAF processes and timelines.
- Act aslead liaison with WAF venuesand where appropriate working closely with the venue to providesupport.
- Ensure the planning and event managementWAF launch events is successful. Your role requires frequent attendance at events and venues in thelead up to and during WAF (June).
- An understanding ofoutreach,marketing andpromotion: Develop and implement strategies to promote events and engage diverse audiences.Work with colleagues in marketing and communications to ensure programmes and projects are communicated well to the relevant audiences and participants.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Degree level qualification or equivalent experience working in the arts and culture sector.
- Knowledge of UK fringe sector and/or small to mid-scale arts ecology with anunderstanding of community and participatory work in arts and cultural sector.
- Proven experience of managing the needs of multiple partners and stakeholders.
- Experience of producing community projects and leading / facilitating artist development programmes / managing networks.
- Ability to forward plan and manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills (both orally and in writing) with a wide range of individuals including artists and venue networks.
