Job Description

CRM Digital Project Manager
£35,000 to £38,000 per year
Full-time, 35 hours per week
Permanent contract
Based in London / home and flexible working

Our client empowers people with the skills they need to succeed in life. Together they're helping people change their stories. You could join a growing digital and IT team that is at the heart of their CRM and data management processes, enabling them to expand their reach and impact.

What you'll be doing

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing digital and IT team who support staff across the UK in delivering services to schools, communities and practitioners.

You will support teams to record and report on the reach and impact of their work, enabling our client to target their delivery more effectively, join up relationships to enhance their impact and celebrate and share their work more powerfully. You will also work with teams across the charity, understanding their aims and processes around data and ensuring that digital platforms can meet their needs.

Your main focus will be supporting the use, administration and design of our client's CRM system, Salesforce, ensuring it is used appropriately and expertly and can support organisational insights. This will include how they update and adapt their approach as they acquire new projects with additional reporting requirements. You will also deliver projects that support the use of third-party platforms and apps that integrate with Salesforce to support data processes e.g. online data collection, donation platforms and digital marketing.

This role is based in London, but you will be able to work from home if you prefer under our client's flexible working policy. However, you will need to be in London at least six times per year for team and organisational days in person, or other office-based work, and unfortunately, they are unable to cover travel costs for this.

What our client is looking for

You will need to have an excellent understanding of how Salesforce can support operations and insights, ideally within a charity organisation. Understanding the role that data can play in the strategic growth of an organisation and how you can contribute that thinking to influence data-driven mindsets more generally will set you up for success. You will also need experience of delivering training and support to a variety of teams, and be confident in presenting technical information in an understandable manner to different audiences.

Salesforce Administrator Certification - or equivalent experience with Salesforce configuration and change management - would be an advantage, as would experience with online data collections tool (e.g. FormAssembly), Salesforce data tools (e.g. Data Loader), middleware and workflow automation tools (e.g. Zapier) and data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau).

Perhaps most important will be your mindset - you will need to be able to organise a workload with shifting priorities and a number of stakeholders, and be energised by the opportunity to have a creative impact on the way that systems and data are used to maximise our client's effectiveness and ensure their charitable resources are used to best effect.

Why our client's work is so vital

Reading and writing change everything.

They give you the tools to get the most out of life, and the power to shape your future. They're the key to knowledge, confidence and inspiration. They're better results at school, and better jobs. If children grow up without the tools to communicate, without books to read or opportunities to write, it's harder to get where you want to go.

Our client helps people overcome these challenges and change their life chances through the power of words - reading, writing, speaking and listening. From first words, through school days to training, jobs and beyond.

- They work collaboratively in local communities, focusing their work in areas of the UK that are facing the biggest challenges.
- They support schools, developing the most effective tools and techniques and providing resources and programmes to engage and inspire children.
- They campaign to make reading and writing a priority for politicians and decision-makers.
- They support vulnerable adults, people in the criminal justice system and young offenders' institutions to build their skills.

What our client offers you

Our client's team are passionate about their mission and they have a strong and positive working culture, based on shared values and respect. They offer a range of flexible working options and promote a workplace where you can be yourself and contribute to their success, whoever you are.

As well as a competitive salary, they offer benefits including a generous leave allowance totalling 39 days (including bank holidays and office closure between Christmas and New Year), pension contributions of 8% of annual salary, a cycle to work scheme, employee assistance programme and other health and wellbeing benefits.

Application details

Our client's people are their most important asset and they value and respect diversity in all its forms (seen and unseen). They particularly welcome applications from those from Black and Asian backgrounds, as well as candidates with disabilities and from the communities in which they work. They would like to increase representation of these groups among their staff as they know greater diversity will lead to an even greater impact for their work.
