- You'll support the design,development, and delivery of a flexible and risk-based CreditT&M plan and you'll help ensure the right resourcing levels andcapability requirements are in place to meet and deliver reviewobjectives
- This is an engaging role in whichyou'll enjoy significant stakeholder interaction, leading a reviewteam, working closely with the first and second lines of defence,and supporting seniorleaders
Whatyou'll do
As aCredit Risk Review Manager, you'll take the lead with CreditT&M reviews, ensuring that the identification, assessment, andmonitoring of credit risks and related outcomes are undertakeneffectively and in accordance with risk management standards.You'll help lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team ofmulti-skilled T&M Assurance Managers, ensuring deliverables arewithin agreed timelines and standards. You'll also help to plan andschedule review team resources so that activity is executed in linewith agreed timescales and adheres to T&M methodologies,processes, and policies.
While there's no linemanagement responsibilities at the outset, the role may evolve overtime as you settlein.
Furthermore,you'll:
- Design,deliver, and document high quality Credit T&M reviews withrobust and efficient testing strategies that focus on testingcompliance with, where relevant, credit risk policies, processes and guidance, regulatoryrequirements, rules, and obligations
- Engagewith senior stakeholders, escalating identified areas ofnon-compliance and handling sensitive and challenging messageseffectively
- Assist team leadership asrequired
- Manage relationships with keystakeholders with committee and forum attendance asrequired
- Contribute to the design, build, andimplementation of enhancements to T&M methodologies, testingtools, andtechniques
Theskills you'llneed
To succeed inthis role, you'll need subject matter expertise in credit risk andknowledge of the related standards or policies,processes and procedures, as well as credit riskcounterparty types and products across the organisation. You'llhave a solid grasp of risk management within a financial servicesenvironment.
With excellentanalytical and investigative skills, you'll have the ability toidentify key credit risks and areas of non-conformance withregulatory, policy, process, and guidance requirements, and you'llhave experience of making credit risk decisions which requireanalysis, judgement, and initiative. We're looking for experienceacross the credit risk spectrum, however a background in FinancialInstitutions or Commercial Real Estate is particularlyinteresting.
We're alsolooking for:
- Anunderstanding of appropriate tools, techniques, and methodologiesused to perform Credit T&M assurancereviews
- The ability to work on your owninitiative, setting priorities and self-managing multipleworkstreams
- The ability to lead, motivate,coach, and develop a team of multi-skilled and geographicallydispersed employees
- Good working knowledge ofthe principal credit systems across the organisation like Prism,RMPS, Avaloq and GMS
- Effective communicationskills, both written and verbal, with the ability to constructivelychallenge and influence, whereappropriate
- Strong relationship building andstakeholder management skills, and the ability to maintaineffective relationships at alllevels
- Contribution to the wider developmentand evolution of the team and wider bank agenda, in particular inrespect of data-ledinitiatives
