Job Description

Paradigm Housing Group has a rare newly createdopportunity for a Capital Works Contracts Manager, who will beresponsible for managing various capital works which will includePAS2030 zero carbon including EWI, cavity refills, ground sourceheat pumps, insurance and disrepair works along with full roofreplacements and other ad-hoc specific projects. Withresponsibility for managing a team and use of sub-contractors whereyou'll drive improvements and customer satisfaction that align withour strategic goals. You'll have joint responsibility of a £10million budget.

We are looking for aconscientious, proactive, capital works contract manager, able towork collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and passionateabout providing first class customer service. Attention to detailis important in this role to ensure the successful delivery of ourservices. You will be a good communicator with both internal andexternal customers as you will be liaising with the customer anddelivery team throughout the duration of theworks.

You should have thefollowing skills/experience:

  • Prior experience of managing large scale property capitalworks, directly employed labour and sub-contractors with a minimumof 5 years' experience
  • Recognized relevantdegree-level qualification or equivalent within related disciplineswith a minimum of 5 years' experience
  • Able tolead, motivate and supervise contractors to achieve targets andhigh standards of work and customer satisfaction.
  • Able to assist with reviewing policy, procedures andstrategies in relation to maintenance functions.
  • Able to plan and prioritise to ensure the effective useof own time and that of the team in order to deliver of work plansto timetable, often under pressure.
  • Havehealth and safety training to the required (Construction Industrytraining Board) CITB industry standard.
  • Goodorganisational skills with ability to plan workload, manage timeeffectively and meet deadlines whilst working underpressure.
  • A 'common sense' attitude and a'hands on' approach.
