Job Description
CK Group are working in partnership with Nxera Pharma UK Limited (formerly Sosei Heptares), to recruit an R&D Contracts Manager. This will be a hybrid role, office based for four days a week in London.

As R&D Contracts Manager you will join a dynamic procurement team to manage complex contracts for the supply of preclinical and clinical research services and drive value through strategic procurement. As R&D Contracts Manager you will join a dynamic procurement team to manage complex contracts for the supply of preclinical and clinical research services and drive value through strategic procurement. This is an opportunity to contribute significantly to the organization's procurement team and ensure the effective management of contracts that align with the company's objectives.
Key duties will include:
- Overseeing the entire contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, peer review, execution, and ongoing administration, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance requirements.
- Drafting of NDAs, MSAs, Work Orders, Change Orders, Licenses, standard terms and conditions according to agreed contract templates and contracting playbook.
- Continuously assessing and enhancing contracting processes, leveraging technology to drive efficiency and transparency.
- Supporting procurement in their communication with legal, finance, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless contract execution and enforcement.
- Organising and managing the contract/document repository for all UK entities.
- Identification and addressing of potential risks within contracts, working in conjunction with legal, finance, and procurement teams alongside business partners to implement robust risk mitigation strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
As R&D Contracts Manager you will require:
- Proven experience of preclinical or clinical contract management in a pharmaceutical or biotech company.
- A strong knowledge of the drug development process and the contract types required to support it.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in contracts, with a meticulous approach to risk identification and contract review.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a capacity to address and resolve complex contractual issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey contractual obligations and negotiate terms with confidence.
- Familiarity with contract management software, Microsoft suite and a demonstrated ability to adapt to new tools and technologies.
