Your New Role What's Involved?
- Assisting and leading on ornithology surveys, following a range of survey methodologies and techniques across a range of sites.
- Supporting and leading in the design, co-ordination and scheduling of ornithology surveys.
- Input into a range of ornithology deliverables including desk studies, survey reports, Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), Biodiversity chapters of EIAs and Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRA).
- Supporting on the ornithology elements of tenders.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate
- Excellent bird identification skills and experience in a variety of ornithology survey types.
- An appropriate academic qualification in Ecology or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable experience in ornithological survey, ideally in a consultancy environment.
- Qualifying Member status with CIEEM (or are eligible for this).
- Confident in working safely in remote environments, including in inclement weather.
- An enthusiastic, energetic outlook and willingness to learn.
- An appreciation of relevant wildlife legislation and survey methodologies.
- A full UK valid driving license.
- Self-confidence and motivation, with good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
