Consultant - Financial Markets

We are looking for an experienced Reconciliation Analyst with a strong background in financial markets and regulatory reporting. This role is critical in ensuring data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and the integrity of transaction reporting processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement reconciliations between systems of record and reporting applications, with a particular focus on regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and implement reconciliations between source systems and reporting platforms, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.

• Design and document data lineage, mapping data flows across systems from origination to report output.

• Contribute to regulatory reporting for EMIR, MIFIR, and SFTR, ensuring accurate and complete transaction submissions.

• Collaborate with IT, Operations, Legal, and Regulatory Reporting teams to align data processes with internal policies and external requirements.

• Analyze and resolve reconciliation breaks during testing (UAT/acceptance).

• Support the creation of operational procedures and knowledge transfer to business users.

Requirements:

• Proven hands-on experience in reconciliations and data lineage documentation.

• Strong understanding of financial markets and experience working with products such as swaps, repos, and commodities.

• Prior exposure to EMIR, MIFIR, or SFTR transaction reporting frameworks.

• Experience in Middle Office, Back Office, or reconciliation teams within the financial sector.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage large datasets.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with automation tools and reconciliation software.

• Experience setting up operational documentation and controls for reporting functions.
