Job Description

Are you passionate about computer science and eager to inspire the next generation of tech innovators? The Rise School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to join our vibrant team.

About Us: At The Rise School, we pride ourselves on fostering a dynamic and supportive learning environment. Our commitment to small class sizes (up to 10 learners) ensures that each learner receives the individual attention they need to excel.

Your Role: As a member of our esteemed faculty, you will play a pivotal role in:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality computer science lessons that captivate and motivate learners from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4.
  • Creating an engaging and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every learner is encouraged to achieve their full potential.
  • Preparing learners for success in their GCSEs, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed for future academic and career endeavors.

The Rise School was opened in September 2014 under the government's free school programme by the Ambitious about Autism Schools Trust, with the core purpose of preparing learners for the next stages in their lives and for success beyond school. The Rise School Sixth Form opened in September 2019. We place equal priority on academic and social outcomes, with learners gaining both the qualifications and the skill-set to successfully access further education or employment and to be full and active participants in society

All staff at The Rise have access to:

All teaching staff have a minimum of 20% PPA of their weekly timetable.

Interview date- 28th November - 3rd December 2024 (multiple interview dates on offer)

Start Date- February 2025 or sooner
