Community Investment Coordinator - HIRING ASAP
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3-month initial contract
Location: 3 days per week in Heathrow office, 2 days remote
Rate: £150 per day inside ir35
Summary:
The Community Investment Co-ordinator will support and deliver the Communities and Sustainability Team's community investment activities for our client.
This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively across various teams and in the local community with local groups, charities, councils, and organisations to support causes that will deliver a long-term social impact.
You will have a good level of community understanding, know what good engagement looks like, and know how to deliver this. Excellent team working and interpersonal skills is essential in this role - collaborating comfortably with stakeholders, taking ownership of local projects, and providing support in other areas of the Communities and Sustainability Team's work plan if needed.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting the successful delivery of Heathrow's Responsible Schools programme - building relationships with local schools and our delivery partner to plan volunteering activities at local schools for Heathrow colleagues to participate in.
- Responsible for managing and administering small donations through our Neighbouring Villages Fund to be utilised for the benefit of the most local communities closest to Heathrow Airport.
- Responsible for the tracking and monitoring of our Heathrow Rangers activities and supporting the delivery of colleague community days.
- To support Heathrow's partnership with the Heathrow Community Trust with events planning and local engagement.
- Support with identifying community investment projects through working with stakeholders, partners, and local community representatives.
- Work closely with the internal & external comms teams to raise awareness internally and externally, compiling good news stories on Heathrow's community investment for colleague channels and local media.
- Support promotion of Heathrow's community investment work on social media by working with the social media team.
- Capture and record stakeholder feedback and share with the wider team to resolve issues and improve our community investment activities.
- To provide administrative support to the Community and Charities Partnerships Manager as required, such as the Giving Back Steering Group and Communities and Charities Committee meetings.
- Be a productive and supportive member of the Communities and Sustainability team, and the wider function with adhoc work/projects/events as and when required.
- Graduate and/or post graduate qualification.
- Experience of working in a community engagement role with communities and knowledge and understanding of the community engagement landscape and Heathrow's local community
- Experience of capturing and saving information to undertake analysis and measure effectiveness of community engagement and communications activities.
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills and a completer/finisher mindset
- Strong inter-personal, negotiating and influencing skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of the full mix of communication channels, used to achieve two-way communication with communities, including traditional, digital, and social.
