Commercial Lead (QS) Hull, Humberside Engineering- Heavy Industry

I am delighted to be partnering with a leading engineering and maintenance contractor, with a vast portfolio of customers in the chemical & petrochemical, nuclear, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals & biopharma, power & energy, utilities and renewables sectors in the UK and beyond.

Due to continued, ongoing and sustained growth, they are seeking a Commercial Lead (QS) within their project controls division to be based in Hull, Humberside to service several high profile clients.

What you will need to succeed

• The successful candidate will be highly experienced in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Leading and/ or Cost Engineering functions.
• You will have proven experience of cash management, contract governance, cost planning, and change management throughout the project lifecycle.
• The role demands a strong background in dealing with commercial issues, and you will have worked with a similar contracting organisation, with relevant sector project experience such as chemical, petrochemical, power generation and similar.
• You will be qualified to degree level in engineering or commercial qualifications, and membership in a professional institution (e.g. for IMechE, IChemE, MRICS).
• Experience with project control software is essential and SAP would be a distinct advantage.
• Evidence of dispute resolution is a big bonus too.
• You will have excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex and high-risk scope of work.
